Oh When the Saints Go Marching In

The beautiful newlyweds!!
What a weekend! My brain is still running on half speed after our trip to New Orleans to celebrate the DeLongs, Mandy & Steve!

The festivities kicked off with top notch po'boys at The Pitot House. It was such a gorgeous setting for the rehearsal dinner.

The Groom and his adoring fans
Stevie, you're fabulous!
Of course the celebrating did not end there, we hit up about 8 bars around Bourbon Street. At 3:00 am, sitting at a black jack table watching Mr. Fonty win big, I came to and realized that it might be time to put myself to bed.

Something tells me Punty felt that sugar shot the next day.
Mr. Fonty and I went to Cafe Amelie for brunch. So delicious and the setting is gorgeous. After our a post-brunch walk through town, we went Uptown to meet up with our crew (including the cool as a cucumber groom) to watch the Dawgs annihilate New Mexico state. More po'boy eating ensued.

After gorging on New Orleans cuisine, it was time to get gussied up for the main event.

The ceremony was officiated by the couple's friend, Hallie, which added such a unique, personal touch.

The Second Line into the reception

Mandy and Steve took the party to the next level with Dirty Dozen Brass Band as the evening's entertainment. I can't remember the last time I shook it that hard.

The dancing never stopped
The bride's mom handmade little hats for all the guests. They were hysterical.

The Fontys heart The DeLongs!

Of course the limbo "bar" came out

Mavol Tov!

But, seeing that we are in New Orleans, the party can't end at midnight! The fun continued at Blue Nile where we had New Mastersounds play until the wee hours.

The next morning (only hours after Mr. Fonty went to bed) we ate at Patois for brunch. It was one of the best meals I've had. The host bent over backwards to accommodate us. They were reservations only and wouldn't have an opening for 2 hours, but he set a street side table for us. It was a perfect way to nurse our leaving NOLA blues.
And added fun fact, Patois is used as the restaurant in Treme!

Congratulations, Mandy & Steve!
What an amazing weekend!
