What a weekend we had! We were in south Georgia at the magical Seminole Plantation. We did nothing but eat, drink, and laugh for 3 days straight. It was such a fun group of new and old friends. I am having serious withdrawls being home. Thank you, Sarah Brooks & Jack!

On The Hunt

Thomasville, GA

We are going down to Thomasville, GA this weekend for a quail hunt. This is defintely the kind of event that wasn't even on my radar when I left California 7 years ago, which makes it even more fun! We are going with an amazing group of friends, and I am very much looking forward to lots of wine drinking and laughs in addition to the horses, bird dogs, and quail.

And of course, I am going to do my best to dress the part of the hunter's wife.

I came across pictures of the Kardashians ringing in the New Year at Tao in Las Vegas, and had to laugh at their predictability. I believe it was HERE that I commented on Kim's obsession with early 90's white lycra dresses and the Kris' love of menswear. Dressing for Two

My friend Kerry is pregnant with her second baby within 6 months of having her first bambino. You are a brave woman! Not that I have any experience, but Kerry wanted tips on how to still look cute while cultivating new life. And since it seems every time I turn around another friend is with child, I thought Kerry probably isn't the only one asking. (Alert: Mrs. Fonty and Mrs. Cookie, this is in no way a hint or eluding to me being or within months of being pregnant.)

Keep The Hope Machine Running

I'm not very good at resolutions, but every year I give it a try. After a year of constant travel, I am making the resolution this year to be home at least 2 weekends out of every month. Mr. Fonty says this is impossible, and I plan to prove him wrong.

A friend posted Woody Guthrie's Resolution List on Facebook. I really liked his extensive list of goals and illustrations. I think we should all strive for Resolution  #16 - 18 - "Don't get lonesome", "Stay glad", and my favorite "Keep hoping machine running"
