Last year I picked obnoxious gifts that only a crazy aunt would buy for children. This year, I am loving all the custom photo items on the market, like the Memory game with your own photos or a custom Viewfinder. (I made an adorable set of flashcards for my lil goddaughter, but more on that later.) These items will keep kids engaged and away from the iPad. And that stuffed "taxidermy" elephant head for the wall?! I die.
Gifts for the ladies continue. Even the daintiest girl would be willing to get outside and get a little dirty with these rugged pretties. Any of these treats might be just what I need to be inspired to go on one of Mr. Fonty's Sunday wilderness adventures...
No one is harder to shop for than a man - especially the man living in my house. I've found that erring on the side practicality is the best way to please your beau. And for me, that means something that can be used when exploring the great outdoors - or sitting on the couch. You may be wondering what (and why) a few of these items are on the list. Those white pants? A total life changer from Royal Highnies. I have the complete PJ top and bottom set, and it is like wrapping yourself in the finest sheets, actually, that is exactly what it is. I promise you, they are worth the price tag. And what is that little blue box? It's a camera! I love this Lytro camera not only for all it's tech savvy fanciness, but also it's size. This is a camera even a man wouldn't complain about carrying around.

Another very solid and interesting album from Animal Collective, produced by my friend Ben Allen. There's nothing quite as catchy as "My Girls" from '09's Merriweather Post Pavilion, but definitely worth the purchase...
